Book: See You in the Cosmos by Jack Cheng
My Review: In "See You in the Cosmos", Alex Petroski goes to the Southwest High-Altitude Rocket Festival (SHARF) to launch his golden iPod into space. While he is there, he checks his email expecting a message from his friend Benji, but all that he sees is a notification from a website that automatically generates a family tree using government records. He signs into the website and finds out that there is a person with the same name and birthday as his long-dead father. After his failed rocket launch, Alex searches for his "maybe" dad. He thinks that his dad might actually be alive and that the person with the same name and birthday as is dad could be his dad. Alex meets many people along the way and uncovers many secrets. This story is very inspiring and I highly recommend that you read "See You In the Cosmos".

I made a tablet

I made a tablet that runs Chromium OS (the open source version of Chrome OS, the OS on Chromebooks). I made it using a 10.1" touchscreen display and a Raspberry Pi 4 computer. For portability, I bought a 12-volt battery pack and a battery monitor. I fit it into a small cardboard box, which looks like this:

Here are a few pictures:

I actually started with a Raspberry Pi 3B instead of the new Pi 4, but I decided to buy the Raspberry Pi 4 to help the tablet work faster.
That's all! Bye!

Book Review: A Taxonomy of Love by Rachael Allen

This Book on Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/34227670-a-taxonomy-of-love
My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My Review: In A Taxonomy of Love, a boy named Spencer with Tourette syndrome learns about taxonomies and starts making taxonomies of everything, hoping to fit everything into neat little boxes. But when he meets Hope, everything that has to do with him changes. Hope is the girl who doesn't make fun of him. He starts trying to map out what's happening (love, if you can't guess) and he finds out that life doesn't fit into categories. I think the following is what the book is meant to teach: "Life is messy, and thats what makes it beautiful." This is proven when his relationship with Hope is taken away by his older brother, Dean. Things get messy as Hope is a couple with Dean and then Spencer is a couple with a girl named Jayla. Relationships switch around until... they're back where they started and they aren't in an infinite loop. Hopefully.

How to make a fancy parallax scrolling website

This is my parallax scrolling website. The parallax effect is when objects in the background appear to move slower than the objects in the foreground when perspective is changed. I recently drew this picture of the ISS, and I decided to use it on the website.
First, I exported each of the layers in the drawing as PNG files (I drew it in Procreate).

Then, I added them all to a website using div elements (with background images set to the images) set up with CSS to lay on top of each other.
Using an awesome JS library called Rellax, I added a parallax scrolling effect.
And here's the code!
